Information About The Addamses and Those Like Them

The Addamses, along with an entire group of people, seem to be some sort of subspecies of human, as they seemingly have some form of immortality, and cannot die by conventional means, and have some connection with the occult and supernatural. They can eat food which is inedible or outright deadly for normal humans to eat, and they take an interest in painful activities like walking across minefields or having a sharp pendulum cut them in half.

Not many families engage in this altogether: it is usually only one or two members of a family who are attracted to things such as these. The Addamses are one of the last families where all members enjoy the activities they do.

Examples of what this "subculture" enjoys (and can survive) are:


  • Being placed in torture devices
  • Being put into what would be life-threatening (or even instantly fatal) situations for normal humans. Such activities include walking into a pit of quicksand, taking a dip in a hot tub that has reached boiling point (they consider it to be merely 'warm'), and going for a swim in the slime pit.
  • Hanging upside down for long periods of time.
  • Anything that would be considered dark and/or gothic.


So, basically, nothing that can kill a human can kill the subspecies of which the Addamses belong to.

And, once again, while there are a good number of people who belong to this subspecies, finding an entire family of them is very rare.
