"Because, Molly, you interested me..." Wednesday decided to go lightly on the girl rather than frighten her any more. "Why are you so frightened?" She had been deliberately scaring the girl but now she felt sorry for the child. She was shivering pretty awfully now.

While she was still scared of the girl, she was also getting slightly angry at the fact that the pale girl was acting as though nothing out of the ordinary had happened.

She was getting slowly more confident now, starting to stand up to the girl more.

"Depends what you want me to do." Wednesday replied calmly. "Either I can take you home... or I can leave you to find your own way... with the pet crocodiles we own." She was teasing again, not loving the girl's bolshy tone.

All of Molly's confidence plummeted away and she returned to just being terrified.
"Y-you have crocodiles?" was all she could get out.

"Alright." Wednesday spoke softly, heading out of the swamp toward a long path. She began to walk, clicking her tongue softly as she walked, watching the girl closely as the crocs began to approach then back off, seeming to recognise the clicking as a warning to back off.
